This iromono colorful awasedo suminagashi is from the Narutaki mine. Suminagashi is a pattern of running sumi ink.
I test all of my stone by using straight razors and this particular stone was perfect with a wide variety of makers when paired with the tomo nagura slurry stone that come with the awasedo stone. The sides of this stone are wrapped with Japanese paper and then coated with spar vanish.
