Shobudani (Sogorouyama) mine entrance tenjyo strata suita with red and brown renge patterns that continues thru the stone and are displayed on the back. The "su' lines and  leaf patterns are not toxic. This stone will handle a wide range of steel. Mohs 4. Lifetime suita in size and cutting speed.

Johana Bench stone information.
In 1993 I began to buy a hoard of tools, vintage kanna, handmade saws and saw files, and awasedo sharpening stones from a saw sharpening shop in the small mountain town of Johana in Toyama Prefecture. The owner had bought out a closed tool store nearby years before as a favor. His wife told us a while after that over that 2 year period, we essentially bought them an addition to their house.
