From the Ohira mine, this razor size stone I have found will work extrememly well with the old fashion Sheffield steel from the 1800s. Very compact and dense this is from the Hachimai level, it is thick, the back is flat with faint areas of blotchy namazu of faint orange. I have shaved off a heafy 1860s George Butler Trinity Works "Yorkshire Bite" with perfect HHT-5 results resulting in the effortless shave these heavy wedges provide, close with total comfort.
Size 185-67-30mm thick
Cutting Speed 5
#562 Ohira tomae razor hone Sheffield friendly
I am happy to work with the professional crafts person as well as individual hobbyists.
