An excellent personal size knife stone for smaller blades. I found this stone to be very hand for smaller paring knives and scissors. The matrix is a blend of ocher nashiji dots and a scattering of ancient su gas voids set against a mottled patchwork of clouds and clusters. The same theme continues to the back of the stone. There are inclusions the main one at a topside corner that falls over the side, doubles back and re-appears on that same end. This is a fault line which is solid now but if the stone fails from dropping on a cement floor this is the week edge.

A fantastic stone eats modern stainless like candy on just clear water, but will cut hard carbon steel if a slurry is made with the paired tomonagura that comes with the Ozaki.
