This stone does have some faint coloration included in the banding.Yellows, blues, faint rose and even a hint of green.
From the shallow akapin strata it will resist the tendency to self slurry under pressure, and it is fine enough for razors. Along with the included tomonagura it will make an excellent travel stone. A really good size and not a bad shape by any means for hand held honing. Lots of character.
