Shohonyama Suita Stone
suita75.jpg

One of the most interesting stones, the shiro suita white body of the stone shows off the deep almost black renge alongside a field of brown nashi-ji spotting
that leads all the way down through the stone to the hand chiseled back side of the stone. No apologizes for this beautiful expression of nature.

The stone cuts very fast on all steels without the use of nagura or DM* and leaves all of the classic attributes of the finest awase toishi including a very sharp edge.

The grit particle of this stone approaches 40,000 and maybe greater. It is medium hard
and will stay flat through the final honing process.
